Applying for Course Exemptions

What is an Exemption?

An exemption is doing without the prerequisite to finish and qualify for one or more subjects in a learning programme, based on credit awarded for any of the following criteria:

  1. another subject done previously
  2. work experience in the appropriate field
  3. (RPL) Recognition of prior learning

What is the benefit of an exemption?

If you receive an exemption for one or more subjects in your learning programme or qualification you will not need to study that subject or write its applicable exam.

Applying for credits?

Credit application is the same process as applying for exemption, upon a successful completion of an exemption application weighted credits will be provided based on the outcomes of the application in reference to your past experiences.
