Description

This unit aims to introduce students to the tourism and hospitality industry. Students will understand the types and characteristics of different hotel and food service providers. Students will also understand the roles and functions of different delivery channels operating within the industry and will be able to gain an insight into how the industry has developed and is likely to develop in future.

CTH Programme in Tourism and Hospitality

Entrance requirement

You must be at least 17 years old and must have passed Grade 11 or your GCSEs.

If you have not passed Grade 11 / GCSEs, but are over the age of 21, you may still be considered.

You must be able to speak, read and write English.

Duration

This course can be completed in 3 months.

• The hospitality industry

• The tourism industry

• The role of tour-related functions

Assessment

You will be required to complete a final assignment for marking.

Award

This unit forms part of the CTH Programme in Tourism and Hospitality, on completion of all 4 Level 3 units you shall receive a CTH Level 3 Diploma is Tourism and Hospitality (UK based qualification).
