Description

This course forms part of the in the ICB Office Administration Programme. It covers various functions of the secretary and receptionist including telephone, mail, correspondence, records and security competencies. The Administrator is central to the effective functioning of any office. This role can sometimes be specialised depending on the type of office environment, but despite this specialisation there are general administrative functions common to all offices.

Accreditation

Institute of Certified Bookkeepers as a Quality Assurance Partner of the QCTO.

Entrance requirement

Grade 12 (Std 10) or equivalent

You must be at least 16 years of age

No prior accounting knowledge needed.

Duration

This course can be completed in 3 months.

• Security measures in a range of situations

Assessment

This course is assessed by the ICB by means of a Portfolio of Evidence where you are required to complete Activities (assignments) and Evaluations (tests) and then complete a final summative assessment (exam) written at an ICB assessment centre. Please be sure to register for your assessment.

Award

This course is a short course as part of a national qualification. On completion of this course and the remainder of the courses in this level you will receive a national certificate.
