ICB Entrepreneurship Programme

The Entrepreneurship Programme is perfect for you if you dream of starting, managing or developing a small to medium sized business. Maybe you want to grow and expand your local company to a global enterprise. If you do then the entrepreneurship stream is for you.

This programme consists of three levels, in which every level is a learning programme and is made up of short courses, for you, because when it comes down to it, your business is all about the bottom line.

 

  • ICB Foundation Level

    This programme is the first level in the ICB Entrepreneurship Programme. Once you have completed this level you will have an understanding of what it means to be an entrepreneur in South Africa. Identify business opportunities, set up a new business. Understand the documents, processes and recording of financial transactions in the business. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Cost and price products and manage working capital. Manage business logistics. Work with SARS and other statutory bodies and finally operate a personal computer.

    The programme consists of 3 courses:

    1.      ICB Entrepreneurship 1

    2.      ICB Bookkeeping to Trial Balance

    3.      ICB Business Literacy

  • ICB Intermediate Level

    This programme is the Second level in the ICB Entrepreneurship Programme. On completions of this level you will be albe to lead a small/medium sized business. Manage your work schedule as an entrepreneur. Operate efficiently in an office environment. Apply law, marketing, PR and economic principles in business. draw up and interpret financial statements and reports. work efficiently with HR and labour relations and finally apply local and global growth principles.

    The programme consists of 8 courses 1-3 listed above, plus:

    4.      ICB Office and Legal Practice

    5.      ICB Entrepreneurship 2

    6.      ICB Marketing Management and Public Relations

    7.      ICB Financial Statements

    8.      ICB Human Resources Management and Labour Relations

  • ICB Advanced Level

    This programme is the third level in the ICB Enrepreneurship Programme. Sudents completing this level will be able to work with a management information system at a corporate level. Prepare a business for internal/external audit. Apply principles of strategic intent and strategic thinking in a global entrepreneurial evironment. Apply managerial finance and control principles in a commercial environment. Understand and stick to enrepreneurial ethics. Manage and lead change in your business and finally draw up and interpret financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS.

    The programme consists of 12 courses being courses 1-8 listed above, plus:

    9.      ICB Entepreneurship 3

    10.    ICB Financial Management and Control

    11.    ICB Financial Reporting and Regulatory Frameworks

    12.    ICB Research Theory and Practice
